
Jason Cromack
Chief Executive Officer
Jason’s career began agency side at Option One, which later became TEQUILA, working with global brands such as Kellogg’s. Jason then moved to the print management sector and set up his own company gl2, applying a focus on customer service which revolutionised the print industry in the 90s. In 2001, he sold his business to TripleArc, a dot.com developing e-procurement and web2print solutions. Jason then oversaw the IPO of TripleArc onto AIM in December 2001 and became CEO in 2002. As chief executive Jason secured the purchase of AccessPlus via a reverse takeover in 2003 and invested in other businesses to deliver a full range of services. In 2008, Jason negotiated the successful sale of TripleArc to Office2Office plc and joined Lateral Group as CEO in January 2010.

Ruaraidh Thomas
Managing Director
Over 19 years in the direct marketing industry have allowed Ruaraidh to develop an in-depth understanding of the marketing services industry and the requirements of its users. He has particular experience in programme delivery across the retail, telco and financial services sectors and an extensive knowledge of the way in which data can be used to drive multi-channel campaigns in both acquisition and retention marketing.
A founding director of Lateral Group, Ruaraidh believes completely in using data as a key driver in the path to full integration of traditional and new media/digital communication channels to drive the most effective results for clients.
Ruaraidh is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and holds a BA (Hons) degree in History and Communications Studies from Lancaster University.

Nick Barbeary
Group Sales Director
Nick has been in the printing and direct marketing industry for over 18 years. In 1995 he joined a private equity backed team to set-up a new web printing operation in Northampton. This business grew to turnover £8 million within three years, before he joined Howitt in 1999.
During his 11 years at Howitt he developed the sales team and client base considerably, creating a sales channel that is the envy of many of their competitors. His focus has been on developing blue-chip clients whilst not over-exposing the business to any one client or sector.
Nick is now driving cross-selling of group divisions, helping clients move towards integrating their marketing communications.

Daniel Cross
Director of Strategy
Daniel has over 15 years’ experience within the marketing and technology arenas in both Europe and Asia-Pacific.
With experience in the retail, entertainment, financial services, loyalty and telecommunications markets, Daniel has worked with many of the UK’s leading brands and agencies developing CRM and insight initiatives. Key projects include the launch and development of Microsoft’s Xbox European CRM platform, delivering one of the UK’s largest Single Customer View databases and the ongoing strategy and delivery Domino’s CRM initiatives.
Daniel has an MBA from London Business School and a First Class Honors degree in Marketing from Otago University.

Chris Parkinson
Group Compliance Director
Chris has a detailed understanding of the new PAS 2020 environmental ‘Best Practice’ standard, as well as ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001. He champions data protection for Lateral Group and its clients to the extent that he describes his interest in name and address data as evangelical!
Chris’ knowledge has been built up over 16 years in programming and software development. This culminated in him holding the role of Software Architect for Lateral Group’s ETL tool-set, before taking on his new Compliance Director role in 2008.
Outside of work Chris spends time with his wife Ruth and three children and is an avid Formula One racing fan.

Simon Clementson
Chief Technology Officer
Simon brings a wealth of experience across technologies, delivery platforms and methodologies developed over 32 years in the IT industry including 22 years in various senior IT and operational positions at Equifax PLC. His aim is to build a set of robust and sustainable delivery platforms and architectures that will position the business as a leading supplier of 21stcentury software and technology solutions.
Simon is passionate about delivering right first time solutions and is introducing flexible agile development methodologies enabling faster development turnaround to meet today’s clients needs. He is keen to embrace virtualization techniques and new cloud technologies aimed at reducing overheads and physical hardware footprints, whilst focussing on providing additional reliability and bandwidth within today’s ever changing technology infrastructures.
